Frozen Pond
In the UK Arboretum. I can't get over the amazing detail that medium format film gives. This picture zoomed in has so much more detail that the web can show. (Zenza Bronica ETRS, 75mm PEII, Fuji Reala)
Frozen Day
Cold day driving around. In the photo of the stream, look in the distance and you can see all the geese that were making their way away from us when they saw my dog Daisy - who also saw them. A few minutes later, Daisy barked at a horse on the hill behind us.
Trains, Trains, Trains
A day at the Blue Grass Railroad Museum in Versailles, KY. These are just the color pictures. I shot mostly B&W that day, so stay tuned. Waiting on chemicals to arrive to develop the B&W.
Walk around workTransformers on top of telephone poles. An int Outside the stained glass company. Sleeping SquirrelI can't say that I've ever seen a squirrel sleep. This one was probably fat and happy from eating all the nuts he found hidden that day. At one point, he started to sway and caught himself. That's when he tucked his head under his arms, here. KY Film School
One of my many pleasures is to teach aspiring film makers the art of location sound. In this well designed and presented class at Bluegrass Community & Technical School (BCTCS, part of UK), I favor the hands on approach to get students up and running the first day. Each project presents challenges that get the students asking questions. Every class seems to produce 3 or 4 bonafide filmmakers.
