Berea College Forest. Forest Maintained by Berea College for over 100 years, it marks the southern tip of the glacier movement during the Great Ice Age. Driving south from Lexington, KY, you travel over rolling pastures in the Blue Grass region. All of a sudden, there's a 1,300 foot range of small mountains. The overlooks offer spectacular views of farmland, bluegrass, and towns.

New Film Scanner

Just bought the highly rated Plustek OpticFilm 7500i film scanner with the Silverfast AI Studio software. This thing rocks! I'll be rescanning select slides and negatives over the next several months that I feel I never got right the first time I scanned. This scanner is dedicated to 35mm, instead of the Epson flatbed scanner I have that does both reflective and film. The Epson is great for medium format and prints, but never cut the cake with 35mm. The Plustek has amazing dust, scratch, and grain removal, plus it can fix low or high contrast negs with multiple exposure scans, sort of like HDR. Stay tuned!
